What we collect

When you submit a property to SaltyPorch, we collect the information you enter in the form: your name, email address, the property name, its booking or listing link, its location, and the fishing details you choose to share. We do not ask for payment information, and SaltyPorch does not process bookings.

Why we collect it

We use this information to review your submission, build your SaltyPorch listing, and contact you about it — including sending a preview before anything is published. We may also use it to follow up about photos or missing fishing details.

How we handle it

Submissions are stored in SaltyPorch's private database and reviewed by the SaltyPorch team. Your email address is not published on the site, is not sold, and is not shared with advertisers. Property details you provide may appear publicly on your listing once it is approved and published.

Photos and rights

We only use photos you confirm you own or control. If you have not granted photo permission, we will contact you before using any imagery.

Site analytics

SaltyPorch uses its own first-party, anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, searches run, property pages viewed, and clicks on outbound booking links. To group those actions we store two random identifiers in your browser — a visitor ID and a session ID — along with coarse traffic attribution (the referring site or campaign tag) and a broad device category (mobile, tablet or desktop).

These analytics do not include your name, email address, raw IP address, precise location, or any device fingerprinting, and they are never used to identify you. A click on an outbound booking link is only a click — it is not a confirmed booking, and SaltyPorch does not receive booking or payment details.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party tracker or advertising network, so there is no cookie banner and no cross-site tracking.

Changes and requests

You can ask us to correct or delete your submission and contact details, or contact us with privacy-related questions, at hello@saltyporch.com. We will update this page if our practices change.
